Hull Food Partnership operates as an active open citywide network within the city of Hull with close working links to the East Riding Local Food Network in the surrounding area. The network works in and with such diverse organisations as Hull & East Riding TimeBank, Transition & Permaculture Hull, Pickering Road Community Orchard, Rooted in Hull city farm, the community supported agriculture Frith Farm and the Growers’ Network reflecting the depth and breadth of knowledge and experience within a city preparing to host the 2017 City of Culture year. Recent Hull City Council Public Health involvement and the commissioning of the Food for Life partnership reflects a new willingness within the city to address the sustainable food cities agenda.
