The London Food Strategy - Healthy and Sustainable Food for London

London's Living Room, City Hall, The Queen's Walk, London SE1 2AA

The Mayor’s London Food Strategy, developed in partnership with the London Food Board, sets out his plans to help all Londoners access healthy, affordable and sustainable food – regardless of their background and circumstances.

It is the first Mayoral strategy for food in London since 2006 and puts food at the heart of the Mayor’s approach to tackling a number of issues including child obesity, food insecurity and climate change.

The Mayor’s commitments, priorities and objectives acknowledge and aim to build upon the fantastic work already taking place across London to improve our food system. We know that good food can help improve health and wellbeing, provide rewarding job and skills opportunities, build stronger communities and help protect the environment.

But we won’t be able to achieve this without your help. The London Food Strategy is a call to action. We all need to work together to achieve more and show what good food can do.

We would therefore like to invite you to City Hall on Thursday 17th January 2019 to celebrate the new London Food Strategy, discuss its priorities and explore the partnerships that will help deliver its ambition to create a fairer and more sustainable food system for London.
