Sustainable Food Cities Network Support: what next?

16 December 2016

The Sustainable Food Cities Network has spent three years developing an innovative, successful programme of work and with a second tranche of funding from Esmee Fairbairn we are excited to embark on the next three years. Following feedback from Sustainable Food Cities Network members we want to provide an opportunity for member cities to help shape the development of Network Support for Phase 2 of the programme. To this end Food Matters will be organising and facilitating a series of half day workshops.

You can now register to attend one of the first two workshops in:

Bristol, 3rd February 2017
1.30 - 4.30 PM: Triodos Bank’s event space

London, 22nd February 2017
2.00 - 5.00 PM: Esmee Fairbairn Offices

Another workshop is being organised in Oldham and you can now register your interest by emailing

Cities and towns at different stages in the SFC process have different perspectives on the type of support that is needed and the manner in which it is delivered. Bringing Network members together will offer an opportunity for representatives of cities at different stages in the process to share and learn from each other’s experiences.

Through participation in the workshops member cities will be able to reflect and review the support they received during Phase 1 and use this experience to consider the scope and delivery mechanisms for Phase 2 Network Support.
