SFC Coordinator Grants Round 3 Now Open

05 March 2018

Sustainable Food Cities Network members can now apply for the third and final Round of SFC Coordinator Grants.

The Coordinator grant aims to support the employment of a Sustainable Food Cities Coordinator for one year, adding capacity to help develop and deliver your food partnership and programme. We are offering a total of up to 11 Coordinator grants of up to £10,000 each in Round 3. To be successful you will need to make a clear case for why you need a coordinator, what they will do and how you will measure their success. You will also need to secure 50% local match-funding to cover half the costs of their salary and overheads inclusive of salary, Employers National Insurance and pension contributions. We will require a commitment letter from any match funding source(s) as part of this application.

Applicants will need to show that the grant is contributing to additional capacity and additional work being delivered. Continuation of an SFC Coordinator if current funding is clearly coming to an end is considered as creating additional capacity.

This is the final SFC Coordinator grants round in Phase 2 of our programme and we expect there will be a high number of applications for a limited number of grants.

The grant is open to any local food partnership based in the UK that is a member of the Sustainable Food Cities Network. Previous/current recipients of an SFC coordinator grant may apply but any currently funded coordinator role will need to have completed its 12-month funding period before the newly funded period can begin. Any post funded through this third round grant must have begun by 14 September 2018.

Sugar Smart Campaign grantees may also apply and a partnership can apply for both a Coordinator grant and a Veg Cities Campaign grant (to be announced).

Applications for Round 3 will need to be submitted by 30th April 2018 with successful applicants able to begin work between 25th June and 14th September 2018.

Full details of the application process can be found in the application form.
